Tiago Royale

Raw Smoke. Refined Soul.

Mezcal Artesanal · Jalisco, México

Art Meets Agave. Culture Meets Craft.

The Tiago Royale bottles are a canvas, a nod to the color and chaos of Mexican street art. Artisanal eco luxury emerging with raw heritage. We’ve crafted our Mezcal to serve the world and the people, good to the last drop, and nothing goes to waste.

Art Can’t Be Rushed

Every stage happens where the agave grows, by the people who grow it. The land sets the pace and the work follows it.

The Founder

Legacy rooted in soil and storytelling.

Santiago Ramos built Tiago Royale to carry something forward. Products of cultural significance, only possible through generations of Mexican artisans. Working with local farmers, every bottle is a living expression of regenerative agriculture, community, and craftsmanship.

The Journey

Where agave becomes something sacred.

From the ovens to the copper stills, every stage follows methods perfected over decades to pull the true character out of the agave.

  1. Young agave in cultivated rows running to the treeline

    Growing

It starts in the field. The agave is cultivated and left to mature over several years until the plant is ready. There is no way to hurry it.

  2. Harvested agave pinas stacked at the distillery

    Harvesting

Jimadores strip away the spiky outer leaves to expose the piña, the heart of the plant, and lift it from the earth by hand.

  3. A stone-lined earth pit oven, charred from firing, with a pina at the bottom

    Cooking

The piñas are roasted until the hard starches break down into fermentable sugar. It is the longest, least hurried stage, and the one that sets the character of everything after it.

  4. A stone tahona wheel resting on cooked agave fibre

    Grinding

A stone tahona crushes the softened piñas to release their juice. The fibre left behind, bagasse, does not get discarded; it leaves the palenque as material rather than as waste.

  5. Open wooden fermentation vats with crushed agave fibre

    Fermenting

Juice, bagasse, and water go into open vats to ferment naturally. Wild yeast turns sugar into alcohol, and the wort comes alive.

  6. A copper alembic still over an open wood fire, wooden fermentation vats behind

    Distilling

The wort is heated in the still to separate and concentrate the spirit. Ours is distilled clear, so the depth of flavor arrives without anything hiding it.

The result.

36%Alc. Vol.
Perfected proof. Distilled to the point where agave sugar and wild yeast express their fullest without the burn getting in the way.
700ml
Quality over volume. Every harvest is roasted deliberately, in batches small enough to watch.
100%Maguey Espadín
One agave, expressed honestly. Joven: unaged, unhidden, exactly as it left the still.

The Taste

Notes you want to savor.

Smoke arrives first and leaves last. In between the agave gets its turn. A roasted sweetness that takes its time showing up, and a mineral edge underneath that tastes like the ground it came out of. Smooth enough to sip neat, warm enough to remember.

Nose
wood smoke, wet stone, green agave, a lick of citrus peel
Palate
roasted agave sweetness, black pepper, ash, a faint salinity
Finish
long and warm; smoke that fades like a fire going out, not a match

Serve

Neat at room temperature in a wide mouthed clay or glass vessel to bring out all the complex flavors. First acclimate your palate, take tiny sips, and exhale slowly to unlock notes of earth, fruit, and smoke.

Full Circle

Nothing goes to waste.

Spent agave fibre being turned by hand after distillation
  • Recycle

Agave fiber, glass, and production materials are collected and processed back into use. Waste gets eliminated where it starts.

  • Repurpose

Agave fibre and spent bagasse leave the palenque as material, not as waste. What the process cannot use, someone else can.

  • Reinvest

Money goes back to the farmers and artisans who made the bottle possible. The land they work is the land the next harvest comes out of.
